The lake horseshoe

Join our ranger for a hard, but rewarding, eight-mile hike across the Brecon Beacons on Saturday 14th September.

Walking in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales

You will take in the mystical glacial lake at Cwm Llwch, summit Pen-y-Fan and Corn Du – the highest mountains in southern Britain, as well as visit the poignant Tommy Jones obelisk.

  • Please bring waterproofs, warm, comfortable clothing and sturdy walking boots. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Please meet for 10am start at Cwm Gwdi car park (SO 025 249).
  • Dogs on leads welcome
  • This is a hard walk, involving steep climbs and ridge walking.
